The 10 million tons/year alumina project has a total designed production capacity of 10 million tons/year, with a total investment of about 24.2 billion yuan. The project adopts the Bayer process to produce metallurgical-grade sand alumina products, which is planned at one time and implemented in two phases, of which the first phase is 6.5 million tons/year and the second phase is 3.5 million tons/year.
The implementation of the 10 million tons/year alumina project is of great strategic significance to accelerate the development of the port industry, promote the sustainable development of the port, form a characteristic industrial agglomeration, further play the leading role of the port, and even the economic and social development of western Liaoning and eastern Mongolia. The project can bring nearly 50 million tons of solidified goods to Jinzhou Port, on the contrary, Jinzhou Port helps the port industry to effectively reduce logistics costs, and the project and Jinzhou Port support each other, promote each other and improve together.
The 10 million tons/year alumina project adopts the latest technology, optimizes the process indicators, improves the alumina production technology, and reduces the steam consumption, electricity consumption and alkali consumption of the project through various effective energy-saving measures, and reduces the production cost. After the completion of the project, it will become the world's most technologically advanced and largest monomer alumina enterprise, and will become a landmark project in the global aluminum industry.
